【釋義】揠：拔。把苗拔起，以助其生長。比喻違反事物發展的客觀規律，急于求成，反而把事情弄糟。
【出處】《孟子·公孫丑上》：「宋人有閔其苗之不長而揠之者，茫茫然歸，謂其人曰：『今日病矣，予助苗長矣?！黄渥于叾曋?，苗則槁矣?！?br>【用例】對學生的教育既不能～，也不能放任自流。
